“We’re kicking off our fun, old-fashioned family Christmas by heading out into the country in the old front-wheel drive sleigh to embrace the frosty majesty of the winter landscape and select that most important of Christmas symbols.”

Grab your ugly holiday sweater, refill your eggnog, and head on to the Adler Theatre, downtown Davenport, Iowa, that very same stage that has seen it all – from Broadway productions to local talent, from world-renowned performers to film. There, you'll find an extra-special experience, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, a timeless classic with a little extra cherry on top. It’s not Santa’s sleigh or Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, but rather Clark Griswold himself!

Chevy Chase, the award-winning actor behind the hilarious Clark Griswold, became a part of every household where National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is on regular rotation during the festive season. Now, live, and in the flesh, he will be sharing anecdotes and stories, answering your questions, and even posing for a photo or two.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is the third installment in National Lampoon Magazine’s Vacation film series. The film, based on John Hughes’ short story, “Christmas ‘59’”, published in the magazine, directed by Jeremiah S. Chechik and starring Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo, and Randy Quaid, among others, was released in 1989, performing exceptionally well at the box office. The film has since become a much-loved Christmas classic.

It is the 35th anniversary of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and it is the full package: superb acting, silly and loveable characters, an interesting story line, and family entertainment of note. It is just the kind of film everybody enjoys, so whether you are a die-hard fan or just love the holiday spirit, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is a must-see, and now, coming to the big screen once more, you simply can’t walk out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas film!

The Adler Theatre is a beaut. With 2,400 seats spread across the main floor, two balconies, and loge, there is a seat with your name on it, suitable to your preference and budget. Rumour has it that tickets are already flying, so don’t snooze; get yours now and “have the hap-hap-happiest Christmas!”
