The film’s director, Garry Marshall, and screenwriter, J.F. Lawton, executed their vision for a stage version of their timeless story to perfection, and under the skillful hand of two-time Tony Award-winning director Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, On Your Feet!), life was blown into a theatrical production that caused a buzz around the globe. Canadian rock god Bryan Adams and his songwriting partner, Jim Valance, delivered an original score to be reckoned with, even featuring Roy Orbison and Bill Dee’s smash hit that served as the inspiration behind the story “Oh, Pretty Woman".
"A business tycoon, Edward, specializes in selling off businesses, regardless of the lives he is destroying by doing so. He finds himself without a partner for a series of fancy functions, upon which he then hires a sex worker to escort him. She, much like Edward, goes about her work with detachment. However, as time progresses, they find themselves feeling a little bit more comfortable in each other’s company than they otherwise would have liked, discovering that they might be falling for each other. Can this blossoming romance turn both of their lives around?"
